This year's half-term missing Easter Sunday itself was never going to stop me going chocolate, bunny, yellow, spring bonkers. James, Teddy and I hosted a little Easter Egg Hunt party on Tuesday at one of the nicest outdoor dining spots in town, The Boardwalk at Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club.
The restaurant has an Easter lunch package that includes a petting zoo of bunnies, ducklings and chicks, egg decorating and hunting on the lawn and that's exactly what we enjoyed with our friends.
Rather than the full Easter lunch and bubbly package, we had an afternoon tea with mocktails and fresh juices and bear-shaped pizzas for the kids.
I must say, it was a gorgeous affair and very fortunately the first afternoon the sun had been out for a couple of weeks. The creek and skyline view is one of the best to be had and we enjoyed some shaded tables on the boat like decking as if we were all on a little vacation.
Everyone went nuts over the rabbits and there were a few tears at not being able to take them home at the end of the day... and that was just the mums!
Thanks to my friends at DW Studios again for the photos and family shoot gifts to our guests. And again to Party Camel for the party decorations.
