My friend Anne has launched a small business importing artisan new and vintage Moroccan rugs, leather poufs, slippers and Turkish towels. It's all very early and she's only just done a couple of the Dubai markets. To help raise awareness for the new venture, Paloma Skies, I hosted a little breakfast this week with some friends that are in interior design.
If there's one thing I know from these interior design types' social media, its that they love their coffee and a nice pastry. Luckily, Mall of Emirate's hippest cafe spot Common Grounds was on hand to test their new delivery service with some iced coffees (direct from the Group's Encounter Coffee Roastery), raw bars, croissants and heavenly salted caramel chic fudge brownies.
And to style the little space we cleared in my front room, White Moss came over with one of those Love chairs from Bali they sell and this cute stool and ladder to display Paloma Skies' products.
It was lovely seeing everyone and from listening in, it sounds like Anne's boho Moroccan aesthetic is going to be really popular :)
Thanks for coming Leanne, Kathryn, Charly, Polly, Emily, Linda, Hannah and Claudia.
